Fundraising

IceCycle is more than just a great workout

It is a community whose generosity fuels groundbreaking cancer research and the highest quality care for the patients of Roswell Park.

Our team is here to help you meet and exceed your fundraising minimum.

Your registration fee will be applied to your fundraising total, so you are already well on your way to reaching your goal!

New in 2024, you have the opportunity to participate in a class with Kristina Girod (@kristinagirod) of POWER+FLOW. Spots in classes with Kristina Girod are limited. When you register for a class with Kristina you are committing to raise $750. If you do not raise $750 before March 1, your spot may be given to a waitlist participant.

Take the first steps to become a successful fundraiser!

Step 1

Set up your fundraising dashboard.

Let everyone know why you are participating in IceCycle. Upload a photo of you on a bike or with the person you are riding for. Personalize the copy on the page. The more information you can share with potential donors, the better!

Step 2

Write your first email or text.

To be a great fundraiser, you’ll need to ask your friends, family and neighbors in the most effective way possible. Craft your first email (or text), edit it and personalize it. Be direct and honest about why you chose to take on this challenge. Then, make a list of EVERYONE you want to ask and send it out.

Step 3

Say thank you!

Order note cards, send an email, send a text or make a phone call. Make sure your donors know how important their support is! When you thank them, also ask them to spread the word.

My IceCycle Fundraising App

Download the MyIceCycle app! The app makes fundraising easier than ever. You can connect with all of the contacts in your phone through text or sharing a personal QR code!

Facebook! Facebook! Facebook!

We can’t stress enough the importance of integrating your fundraiser with Facebook. Doing so allows your friends, family and loved ones to donate directly to your fundraiser.

On average, a participant who uses Facebook raises $300 more than someone who does not.

If you haven’t already done so, check out these easy steps and get your fundraiser on Facebook TODAY!

Download the MyIceCycle app or log into your fundraising dashboard.

Head to the blue box and click on “Connect Fundraiser to Facebook.”

After being redirected to Facebook, follow the prompts.

Once connected, edit your information, including name, image, goal and story. Don’t forget to save!

Share out to all your friends and watch the donations roll in.

Instagram how tos!

We do not recommend using Instagram fundraisers. It is easier for you (and us) if you share your direct donation link to your story or bio instead.

If you are unsure of what to do, call us so we can make sure it is set up correctly: (716) 845-8788
